About the role

About Us

Most jobs ask you to choose between doing well and doing good. This one doesn't.CauseMatch is the fundraising platform nonprofits use to run their biggest campaigns. Every account you bring raises more for a real impact. Your commission and the world's good are doing the same math. We're growing the team.

Long-term career in Israel

We hire and grow in Israel. No forced relocation when a board decides to rebuild go-to-market in New York. Our Founder has built his family and home here, and our team in Israel will stay here too.

Every account matters

Each account that you bring will raise more funds for Jewish nonprofits and thus help more people, and make more impact. You're not just selling vanilla SaaS. You're selling something that truly improves the world.

The Role

As a Business Development Representative, you are the first human contact many nonprofits have with CauseMatch. Your job is to find the right organizations, start real conversations, and book qualified meetings for our Account Executives. You are not blasting generic emails and hoping something lands. You research each prospect, understand their fundraising reality, and reach out with something worth reading.

This is a role for someone who wants to learn consultative selling from the ground up and grow into a closing seat. The best BDRs here treat their pipeline like their own business.

What You Will Do

  • Build and work a targeted list of nonprofit prospects that fit our ideal customer profile: Jewish organizations with annual budgets between $200K and $10M, led by Executive Directors, Development Directors, and Founders.
  • Run outbound across email, phone, and LinkedIn, with sequences you personalize based on real research, not templates you never touch.
  • Qualify prospects against our criteria (budget, fundraising history, fit for the ambassador-driven model) so the meetings you set are worth an AE's time.
  • Book discovery calls and hand off clean, well-documented context to the Account Executive.
  • Learn our story cold: why people give to people not causes, why our tech and services lifts results.
  • Keep your pipeline accurate in HubSpot so your numbers tell the truth.
  • Use AI tools to research faster, write sharper, and cover more ground without losing the personal touch.

What Success Looks Like

In your first month you know our product, our market, and our ICP well enough to hold a real conversation with a Development Director. By month three you are consistently hitting your targets for qualified meetings set and meetings that convert into opportunities. Over time, your best-fit prospecting and clean handoffs make you the BDR every AE loves getting leads from.

We measure the role on qualified opportunities generated, meeting set rate, meeting-to-opportunity conversion, and outbound quality, not on raw activity for its own sake.

What We Are Looking For

One to three years in a sales, business development, or customer-facing role. Strong entry-level candidates with the right drive will be considered.

  • Clear, persuasive writing. You can make a cold email feel like it was written for one person because it was.
  • Comfort on the phone and a genuine willingness to start conversations with strangers.
  • Curiosity and research instinct. You dig into a prospect before you reach out.
  • Coachability. You want feedback and you act on it fast.
  • Organization and follow-through. Nothing falls through the cracks in your pipeline.
  • Comfort using AI tools in daily work.

Nice to Have

  • Experience selling to nonprofits, or a background in fundraising, development, or the nonprofit world.
  • Familiarity with the Jewish nonprofit community.
  • Experience with HubSpot or a similar CRM.

Why Join

You will learn consultative sales inside a company that lives and breathes it, with real coaching and a clear path toward an Account Executive seat. You will sell a product that helps mission-driven organizations raise money they would not have raised otherwise. And you will do it alongside a team that treats craft, ownership, and impact as the standard, not the exception.
